Building a Sustainable Life as an Artist

Artists U: How to build a life that is balanced, productive, and sustainable. Tools artists have used to make things easier.

Based on twelve years of work with artists locally and nationally, artist leaders Ashley Minner and Andrew Simonet will offer tools for reconnecting with our deep values, building community, and making it all sustainable. We will focus on strategic planning, financial thinking, artist mission statements, and time management.

*This program is open to Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) students, alums, and faculty/staff. Early registration recommended. Space is limited. FREE light breakfast and lunch included!

Breakfast and check in will be available beginning at 9 am. The Artists U workshop will begin promptly at 10 am.

Check out www.micapreneurship.com for additional upcoming events, opportunities, and business resources. Learn more about Artists U here.

“Our local art sphere is changing with these workshops. People are talking about things differently and feeling more empowered. The impact is deep.” -Baltimore visual artist and MICA grad
