Join Common Curriculum and the M.A.T Program at MICA for the first Curriculum for the Culture conversation!
The Curriculum for the Culture event series facilitates conversation between Baltimore educators that are developing culturally relevant and sometimes controversial curriculum, through collaborative planning. When educators come together, they create curriculum that provides students from all backgrounds the creativity and flexibility they need to thrive.
The first event will feature MICA professor Vanessa López and her mentee, Baltimore Design School teacher Valencia Clay, as they discuss their relationship as mentor/mentee, and their experiences disrupting traditional educational systems through collaboration.
This series is sponsored by Common Curriculum, an ed-tech platform built by two former Baltimore City Schools teachers. All events are free and open to the public and include food and drinks! Tickets are limited.
