Open Reception: Ash Lynch, Curatorial Practice MFA

alt(e)r call | no church in the wild  features work by artists, scholars, activists, and cultural producers offering rituals of resistance that invite audiences to wade in the water toward freedom dreams.  Hailing from Africa and the Diaspora, they create new possibilities--through the use of literary imagery, visual art, photography, music, film, and sculpture--and further Black liberation discourse by invoking Black/Quare/Afrikan (in) visibility liberation theology in the black radical imagination and consciousness.
