The BWI Thurgood Marshall Airport Static Art Committee and First Lady Yumi Hogan, in collaboration with the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) is pleased to present "A Gate" exhibition.
A selection of current student and alumni work from the Mount Royal School of Art. Students in this interdisciplinary MFA program led by multimedia artist, Luca Buvoli, incorporate the latest developments across media as they engage in intensive studio practice.
The art works in this exhibition give a varied sense of what it might feel like to be (at) “home” – A way to ground the transient passenger in an airport environment as they move between home and the destination, or vice-versa.
This exhibition was organized by two Mount Royal School of Art alumni, Lek Borja '18 and Amelia Vercauteren '18. The exhibition is on view through September 10th, 2018.
